The Miracle of Bern
The legendary world champions from 1954. Underdogs in the final, the Germans were already behind 0:2 ten minutes into the game before they turned the match around. They managed to catch up in rainy ‘Fritz Walter weather’ and ‘the boss’ Helmut Rahn scored the winning goal five minutes before the clock ran out. The game has gone down in football history as the ‘Miracle of Bern’.
